Description
Reflexes’ “Chamber Jazz Impromptus” contains ten compositions for quartet of different ensembles. At the base of piano, double bass and percussion, different types of wind instruments alternate, including unusual instruments. The orchestration reveals evident Classical references, from Bach and Mozart, up to Debussy, Ravel, Fauré, Poulenc and Gershwin. The result is a form of Chamber Jazz, complex and refined in writing and counterpoint, elegant and refined in the different atmospheres, yet very welcome and immediately pleasant. The structures lend themselves immediately as a backdrop for film and entertainment music for elegant and prestigious events.
